Nah, Deku just doesn't have that tenacity he had in season 2 anymore, it's like he had confidence to get what he wanted in season 2 but it disappeared and he's back to wimping out. It's would've been fine if he didn't show confidence in season 2 but he did and now I can't go back

I always found Deku's performance rather lacking for an MC. I know realistically he shouldn't be able to control his power nearly as well as anyone else in the class but still.

I'm just WAITING for the day that he can finally punch at some sizable force and hold up on his own. Cause at the stage he is right now, he honestly ain't much.

I think the problem with losing interest is much like most longer Shonen anime: stuff gets repetitive. All the stuff in between the fighting the villains arcs feels boring and slow. It happens but like everything, alot of shonen anime focus heavily on development. Hero academia kinda lacks the whole character background developments but maybe it makes up in that it includes the sides and mains as much as possible idk honestly.

The manga has what you're looking for, I don't like it but going off what you said, I'd recommend reading the war arc

Since up to this point it's only been a couple of episodes for a big Shonen anime that I treat this as it'll take quite the amount of episodes to get things developed all the way.

Usually I'd feel that way too. But I think this anime has had the perfect balance so far and the plot is creative and honestly I thoroughly enjoy what I've seen so far.

I just hope management doesn't change and ruin the anime mid way.

I think the anime is ok. It's not great, and honestly if I compare it to some of the other big Shonen it's... lackluster (?) in my opinion.

I mean, deku performs as an MC and it sorta works. I still think the overall character of deku though is a little underwhelming or weak.

Well, which shonen are you comparing it too? If you say Naruto I'mma have to cap you >: ] I'd say that Jujutsu Kaisen ranks above it though. MC is way more... I wouldn't say developed but has more screen presence for sure. I also like that there seems to be a lot of different art styles merging in MHA. Which I'd say is a positive to the crisp, clean animation of Kaisen just because it adds more character in MHA's specific case.

I think MHA sorta hits a lower age range compared to something like Bleach One Piece or Naruto.

Though this may be the case of character design and focus on school. That being said, Naruto, minus the fillers, is most likely the better anime of the two.

In my opinion, story and character development really matters in big Shonen. Naruto, in my opinion, develops far more story and has more character progression compared to this anime, and that puts it up there.

Once again, that's just my opinion. Given that MHA has only had a couple of episodes split into numerous seasons, it has a huge amount of room to expand and grow. Still, it feels slow because it keeps releasing season by season.

(Note I only listed off 3 shonen of the big 3 category just cause they're the most relatable to most people)

I feel the opposite way about the respective anime's you mentioned.

Naruto, I would say is aimed at young teens, 10 to 13s. I'm not even gunna bother with One Piece. That's like my umber one anime in dead last place for all anime of any time frame and genre. That one just needs to burn, but apparently there are rumours that someone beat me too it >.> Even HxH is better than One Piece... ok, I bothered a lil >.>

Between Bleach and Naruto, I'd always pick bleach BUT, both anime suffer horrendously from filler material. By the time you get into the fight with pain it is a literal pain in the ass to trudge through filler eps. At some point I'm pretty sure it becomes a two filler ep for every one cannon ep.

Their action scenes were good for their time but by todays standards I'd say they are a little lacking. and Naruto's last truly great fight scene (strictly in my own humble opinion). They're coherant and visually pleasing but they are riddled with nattering. Sometimes it takes 10+ eps to finish a single fight in both Bleach and Naruto.

For all of those reasons I'd actually say that Naruto is made and One Piece are made for younger audiences where as Bleach and MHA were targeting (most likely) the mid-teens.
MHA kinda lacks weight to the story line right up into season four, when they stop being subtle about killing off their characters or when they stop towing the line, so to speak. But I also think MHA is made for a wider age range too. Their target audiance when they made MHA was probably just about everyone from 12 and up if I think back to the first season.

MHA is a little more action detailed and that can make it technically more gory so it probably is more for 15+ and the story line looks set to get darker as it progresses. I just hope they don't ruin it at the end by doing the whole friends and girls fix everything routine. Though I'm pretty certain that's where they'll take it. *shrug* We will see though.
It's also a thing that MHA's story, plot, and general culture are more complex. Where as Naruto's plot was basically all over the place. I don't even think they knew what they were doing with the plot by the time Sasuke's fight with Itachi finished and it shows in every episode after it. It might be really good if they remade it and cut out all the fat and I'm also including the endless flashbacks as filler material too because they repeated so much needless material.
